Batch Mode
Batch mode lets you fill multiple text nodes simultaneously with a single click, instead of selecting and filling each node individually.
How to use batch mode
Section titled “How to use batch mode”- In Figma, select multiple text layers (hold
Shiftand click each one), or select a parent frame or group that contains text layers. - Open the plugin panel (Plugins → Realistic Data Generator).
- Choose your locale and data category.
- Click the category button — the plugin fills all selected text nodes at once.
When you select a parent frame, the plugin automatically finds all text children and fills them with the selected data category.
Mixing categories in one selection
Section titled “Mixing categories in one selection”You can run batch mode multiple times on the same selection with different categories:
- Select all nodes in a “user card” frame.
- Run Full Name — all text nodes receive a name.
- Deselect, then select only phone nodes.
- Run Phone — only those nodes are updated.
For keeping the same fictional person across all fields, see Coherent Person.
Free vs Pro limits
Section titled “Free vs Pro limits”| Plan | Batch fill limit |
|---|---|
| Free | Up to 10 nodes per operation |
| Pro | Unlimited nodes per operation |
On the Free plan, if you select more than 10 nodes, the plugin fills the first 10 and displays a notice inviting you to upgrade.
Tips for large designs
Section titled “Tips for large designs”- Select by layer name: Use Figma’s “Select all with same name” to quickly target all nodes of the same type (e.g., all layers named “phone-number”).
- Use frames as containers: Organize your design with named frames (see Coherent Person) so the plugin can target logical groups.
- Pro tip: Select a top-level section frame and run a single batch to fill all visible text placeholder layers in one click.
Upgrade to Pro
Section titled “Upgrade to Pro”To remove the 10-node limit, upgrade to Pro (€9/month) from within the plugin panel. The upgrade is immediate and cancellable at any time.
