Is the generated data real?

No. All data generated by the plugin is entirely fictional. Names are drawn from statistical corpora (not real individuals), addresses follow real postal formats but point to no real location, and admin IDs (SIRET, SSN, DNI, etc.) are structurally formatted but algorithmically random.

The goal is realism of appearance, not real data.

Do my Figma files leave Figma?

No. All data generation happens entirely within the plugin’s client-side JavaScript runtime inside Figma. No text content, no layer names, no file data of any kind is sent to any external server.

The only network activity is:

Plugin installation from the Figma Community (one time)
License verification for Pro accounts (one call per session, sends only an anonymous license token)

Can I use generated SIRET, SSN, or DNI in real documents?

Absolutely not. Admin IDs generated by this plugin are for mockup purposes only. Using a fictitious SIRET, SSN, DNI, Steuernummer, or MyNumber in any real document, contract, official form, or submission may constitute fraud and expose you to legal liability. The publisher of this plugin accepts no responsibility for any misuse.

What is the Free plan limitation?

The Free plan allows batch filling of up to 10 text nodes per operation. All five locales, all data categories, and all other features (including Coherent Person mode) are available on the Free plan.

To fill more than 10 nodes in a single operation, upgrade to Pro (€9/month).

What locales are coming next?

The current roadmap includes:

What is the difference with Content Reel?

Content Reel is a popular Figma plugin for inserting content (text, images, icons) from CSV files or built-in lists.

Realistic Data Generator is different in two key ways:

Locale-aware data generation — Content Reel provides English-only placeholder content. Realistic Data Generator generates data adapted to French, German, Spanish, Japanese, and US English conventions — including culturally appropriate names, address formats, and phone number patterns.
Admin ID generation — Realistic Data Generator includes fictional but structurally plausible administrative identifiers (SIRET, SSN, DNI, etc.) which Content Reel does not.

Both plugins can be installed and used together.

Is the plugin compatible with Figma Web (browser)?

Yes. The plugin works in both the Figma desktop app (macOS and Windows) and in the Figma browser interface. No native code is involved — the plugin runs entirely in JavaScript within Figma’s plugin sandbox.
